Starting the wizard
Check the radio button before Extract text from the active window in the main ScreenScraper Studio dialog.
Choose the screen scraping method
As you can see in the picture below you have 3 screen scraping options:
- Native;
- OCR;
- FullText.
After choosing the screen scraping method click Extract text button.

As you can see in the picture below, in the Screen Scrape Active Window dialog, at a simple click of a button (Extract text button), you can see the text scraped from the active window.
Note that the Screen Scraping of the whole web page in the example below lasted 371 milliseconds.
Generating task
Generate task by clicking the Generate task button.
Saving and running the task
Give a name to your task, choose a destination and finally click Save Task and Run.
